Can we relocate our manufacturing or distribution facilities and maintain production levels while relocating?

Answer is - Yes in 90% of projects due to duplication of machines and equipment along with versatility of certain machines to perform multi-tasks, reasonably projected levels of production can be maintained while relocating.

Answer is - Coats Group will develop a comprehensive listing of roles and responsibilities. Of particular import is the facilities maintenance staff. Coats group will construct a matrix by machine that will reflect the time line required for the removal from service; the time requirement for de-commissioning; the required time for physical movement and the time line for re-commissioning, testing and bringing the device back on line for production. This document will used in concert the schedule time lines to determine the skilled workforce that will be required in order to meet the demands of the physical move. Supplementary skilled labor is available from 3rd party vendors to supplement facilities maintenance crews.

How do we hire machinery movers/riggers, movers, electricians, plumbing, HVAC, racking vendors, mechanical, controls and other relocation related vendors?

Answer is – Coats Group brings a formal protocol that includes RFP and Pre- Bid meetings that will be compatible to your purchasing requirements and protocols.

Which of our personnel should be members of the Relocation Project Leadership Team?

Answer is – We will guide you through the structure of the Relocation Project Leadership Team.

How much time will you need to meet with our operations groups and work cell members during the due diligence phase?

Answer is – This will vary due to the manufacturing process; work cell size and work cell complexity. However, we know that time is of essence. So while the capturing of information is very important, we will gather the data in the shortest possible period of time.

We are really busy with production, but we need to be certain that all machines are properly taken out of service, disassembled and de-commissioned. We typically use technical vendors for these needs. Who will be responsible for coordinating the specialized vendors for our machines and equipment?

Answer is – Coats Group will. We work with this discipline with regularity so we will be the focal point of contact for these needs.

How will our staff and employees know how to get ready for the move?
